NBS Grad -Brianna Gunther (Submitted 9/15/2015)
Hi! You probably don't remember me, but I attended National Bartenders School back in May 2010. I tended bar that summer at a country club in Monmouth County, but after that I didn't do much with it. However, I am contacting you today to say a big, fat THANK YOU! You see, after finding myself almost broke early last year I wound up getting a job bartending at a world class resort in the Rocky Mountains (Devil's Thumb Ranch, and btw they are currently looking for more bartenders if you would like to pass the info on). When I first started I was nervous because I was among the least experienced on the bar staff and after all, it had been a few years since my country club gig. However, it quickly became apparent that I was also among the most knowledgeable, thanks to my intensive training at National Bartenders School! (Seriously, when the other bartenders and I shared stories about our training and respective bartending schools even they said that it was obvious I had been held to higher standards during my classes). Everything came right back to me, and today I am the head bartender at the resort and am worlds away from being broke. So, it's about five years late, but I would like to thank Lambert and the entire staff at National Bartenders School for all of the in-depth classes and the intensive mixology practice, as well as always holding its students to high standards. Keep up the good work!
"School License and Student Certificate"
Ten Good Reasons To Join N.B.S.
- N.J. LICENSED PRIVATE VOCATIONAL SCHOOL: Established in 1984, our School is Licensed by the N.J. Department of Education and Graduates get an Approved Bartending Certification that is good anywhere in the U.S.A. and does not expire.
- N.J. STATE APPROVED INSTRUCTORS: All of our instructors and School personnel must pass a criminal background check as required by the N.J. Dept. of Education.
- GUARANTEED TUITION REFUND: Our School is Bonded by the N.J. Dept. of Education thereby guaranteeing the student’s tuition refund in the event the School closes.
- LIFETIME JOB PLACEMENT ASSISTANCE: Graduates are personally assisted by owners Lambert and Laura in order to provide them with their best individual employment opportunities. Their many years of experience are used to guide each graduate along the road to a bartending job. Many New Jersey bar owners and managers have trained at our School and they often call when they need bartenders. All Graduates get the password that lets them into our website employment page where bartending job opportunities are listed so they can decide where to apply.
- FREE LIFETIME REFRESH CLASSES: No additional tuition charges to sit in on refresh classes after graduation. The School encourages all Graduates to come back and practice before starting any bartending job.
- FREE LIFETIME MIXING PRACTICE: Graduates can come back and practice mixing drinks at any time. Practice makes perfect.
- CLASSES: Day/evening hands on 4 hour bartending classes with flex schedules are available Mon.-Fri. with nearby pizza, Chinese food, and a Quick Check for easy lunch or dinner breaks.
- CONVENIENT LOCATION: Our School is like a real downtown main street bar with a cozy cocktail lounge atmosphere. Unfortunately, some other bartending schools are located in converted office space, a re-modeled dry cleaners, the upstairs of an auto detail shop, or the basement of an empty building. It is always wise to visit a school before enrolling to avoid being fooled by bogus website photos.
- FREE PARKING: Situated next to the Woodbridge train/bus station for easy NJTransit commuting, we offer free parking in our private lot behind the school so you don't have to park on the street.
- HANDS ON TRAINING: Our cocktail lounge classroom has a 40 foot full service bar with real ice and soda guns. Students participate in “Happy Hour” drills making drinks in a simulated bar atmosphere. Come join us in the fun and excitement of the most realistic mixing practice anywhere.
